Babajide Sanwo Olu the governor of Lagos State of Nigeria invited the Nigeria military to help disperse protesters during the #enSARS protect. This was revealed by the Nigerian army as the ongoing protest investigation continues.

Acting Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major Osoba Olaniyi made this public as the Nigeria military and the lagos state government try to exenorate themselves after committing crime against humanity by shooting unarmed civilians.

He insisted that at no time did the military opened fire on the protesters contradicting earlier statement by  the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, who claimed troops were at Lekki to “ensure compliance with the curfew imposed by legitimate civil authorities in Lagos and other states”.

This is disheartening to believe that the Nigeria leaders of today could not differentiate between democracy and military government
