GoodLuck Jonathan

He became Nigerian president and commander in cheif of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria yet he does not understand the meaning of the offices he occupy. He said he has been a lucky man in his political career  having not struggled for any of the offices he once occupied.

Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan GCFR, GCON born 20 November 1957is a Nigerian politician who served as the President of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, he served as Vice-President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010 and as Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007. He cited anti-corruption, power and electoral reforms as focuses of his administration. He stated that he came to office under “very sad and unusual circumstances”

Jonathan once denied that chibok girls was not abducted by boko haram and when he later accepted that they were abducted he said that his government should not be blamed but instead boko haram should be blamed.! hey! was he a drunkard or was he a president of another country. A man highly educated and aware that words once spoken cannot be reversed.

Jonathan’s government has largely been described as corrupt. According to The Economist, corruption flourished under the Jonathan administration, “who let politicians and their cronies fill their pockets with impunity. Large sums of money have been used improperly multiple times, with 3.98 trillion (US$20 billion) allegedly going missing and ₦398 billion ($2 billion) of military funds allegedly dispersed amongst high-ranking officials In addition, Jonathan was alleged to have personally ordered over ₦3 trillion ($15 billion) from the Central Bank of Nigeria to support his election and other self-seeking projects under the guise of an intervention fund for national stability. Charles Soludo, a professor of economics and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, equated Jonathan’s financial recklessness to that of former Ugandan president Idi Amin. Ngozi okonjo iwuala, an economist and former Finance Minister of Nigeria, pegged Jonathan’s administration as the main cause of Nigeria’s economic woes in a lecture at George Washington University, although she later denied it. None of the corruption allegations against Jonathan have been proven in any law court.

On the issue of political instability in Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan had no solution or even a pattern on how to go about such.  Biafra agitation or even other ethnic sentimental issues confronting the country would have been dealt with if Jonathan overlooked partying and focus on the Country. Critics have analysed that Jonathan was in better position to settle such issue if he realised that governing do not happen by luck but by merit after all Jonathan was alleged to have personally ordered over ₦3 trillion ($15 billion) from the Central Bank of Nigeria to support his election and other self-seeking projects under the guise of an intervention fund for national stability.

Can Nigeria ask Jonathan what he did with people’s money and why the nation is in heavy mess. At the moment The present Leader General Buhari is confused not knowing where to start from after numerous promises in his campaign for votes. He is an Army General but no clues on how to deal with security issues in the country. Can I ask a question. is (boko haram a ‘ghost’) Can Nigeria rise up and let the people rule because power belongs to people. The house of Assembly is in a mess what is going on. Who will speak for the poor. who will bell the cat. Nigerians
