Governor of Ebonyi Francis Nwifuru carved out a kingdom for his father who married 30 wives, 13 left and remaining 17 wives and had 108 children which includes the current Governor of Ebonyi State. He mandated the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to create a new Kingdom, they did, and made his father the traditional ruler.

Last week, his son the current Governor of Ebonyi state handed him his staff of office as a Govt recognised traditional ruler and the coronation took place last weekend in the presence of H.E Mike Elechi, H.E David Umahi and other notable personalities in the state.

Speaking during the coronation of his father as the traditional ruler of the newly created Oferekpe Agbaja autonomous community, Governor Nwifuru revealed that his father initially married over 30 wives. However, some left the family due to their inability to bear children, leaving 19 wives at one point. Today, he has 17 wives and boasts a legacy of 108 children, including 21 university graduates, among whom is the governor himself.
