Military takeover in Myanmar(coup)

The soldiers struck in Myanmar and took power while deataining the democratic government officials after they claimed that the recent election was fraudulent.

Ms Suu Kyi, who led the country’s elected government, has not been seen since she was detained. Hundreds of MPs also remain confined after soldiers surrounded their accommodation in the capital.

A state of emergency has been declared by the military but it is reported that there have not been on going protest and every where remains calm.

The United States and United Nations have condemned the coup and have requested immediate release of those detained by the soldiers.
